"Managing money is something that's not taught at school yet in the book of Accleastiastes 10 vs19b the greatest and wisest king Solomon notes that "money answereth all things".
It's not how much someone earns, it's how well they manage what comes into their coffers.
My money values and beliefs were very much shaped by my parents. They understood earlier on the importance of multiple streams of income. At a young age I was taught budgeting, sales, the difference between assets and liabilities.
Whilst money is not everything, money is an enabler and the people that are able to respect money and it's values are rewarded.
A few lessons drawn from the book "The richest man in Babylon"
1. Live below your means
2. Save 10% of your income to invest
3. Pay yourself first "me tax"
4. Learn how to be lucky by working hard.Luck is based on opportunities and opportunities can be created.
I don't have many money regrets, through the above lessons learnt earlier on in life I have learntto invest wisely and have made money through investments. Every investment is risky but doing nothing is even riskier. My goal is to retire young and travel the world without worrying about money.
I will close with a quote "When the vision is clearer, the price is easy to pay" Jim Rohn
